WHITE STRYPE 1AP36 - “JACK”

JACK- Just out of the kill pen, March 2023

Jack, born May 4th, 2003 is a Standardbred we saved in March of 2023, from the ROTZ kill pen in Pennsylvania. He was one of 43 trotters and pacers that found themselves tagged to ship for meat. He arrived to us in early April after going through a bout of strangles. It was apparent He had been worked hard for many years of his life. But he stayed the kindest and most gentlest of souls. Jack put the weight on that he desperately needed and we allowed his feet to heal. In June of 2023, Jack finally found his forever person after only being listed for a couple of weeks. He is a real catcher of hearts! Jack made his way to PEI to be with his new owner Mary. We wish Jack a happy life full of endless love.

Thunder on Friday, just 15 years old, found himself in a kill pen in Pennsylvania in January of 2023, ready to ship to slaughter at any time. Underweight and in need of love. We worked with the Standardbred Retirement Foundation to release him from the pen, get him it safety and a foster placement. It took some time but Thunder found his forever home in early September along with another kill pen rescue “Jus Trouble” We wish you all the best Thunder!
