Luna

Color: Cremello

Home needed: Light work or companion

Level: Intermediate

Height: 15.2/15.3 hh

Current Weight: 1009 lbs

Luna or we affectionately call her “Lou” has gone through some pretty incredible transformations in her time with us.

She came out of auction polluted in lice, avoidant and was hesitant to be touched or haltered.

Lou is now a well mannered girl who will move aside when you enter her stall. Will stand for haltering and comes to her name when called. She trailers well and is an overall sweet girl that is quick to learn.

Luna’s dislikes still include lifting her feet, so her potential home will have to continue to work on her with that. Lou doesn’t care for a lot of traffic as sometimes she can become spooked in new surroundings or situations. She prefers to have the safety of a stall and she is rather content in one. She has no bad stall habits. She does like to get outside for a roll or two but in the company of another horse. So Lou’s potential home would have to offer her a friend or a boarding facility where she can make a friend. Without a friend (or her special person near by) she is riddled with anxiety and will find her own way back to the barn and put herself away in her stall.

Luna is our great turn around story because on her first vet assessment, she was in such bad shape, health wise that we were concerned about heart issues. After just a few months of quality nutrition and care, we are pleased to say that Luna’s home requirements and future have greatly changed.

She recently had her checkup and her heart murmur was graded a 1, which if you are unfamiliar with murmurs, a grade 1 is a soft, barely detectable murmur that can only be heard by prolonged listening to the internal sounds of her body.

she has been cleared for light trail riding or any direction you want to take her in. We have had her under saddle and with some consistency and refreshers she should make a good trail companion.

This stunning mare is a quick learner and will make a great friend and partner for her forever person.

Luna’s adoption fee is $1200.00

She is up to date on Vaccinations, Teeth, deworming and Farrier.

BRAYA and her Foal (yet to be born)

*** Early Adoption applications being accepted******

We are accepting early adoption applications for those interested in BOTH Braya and her foal (currently unborn). Expected delivery end of May, early June 2024.

Please note that right now this is strictly for both. Individual adoptions will not become available until the foal is properly and timely weaned. IF the foal is born a colt, gelding is required. Breeding is not allowed under our adoption contract, nor is selling or rehoming of any kind. If an event occurs where one becomes unable to care for them, both are to be returned to us and we are very strict about this rule.

Upon an approved application, once Braya has the foal and the foal is given a clean bill of health they will be able to move to their new home.

Information on Braya:

Age: around 8-9 years old, bay roan/appymix Sex: Mare Height: around 41.2 inches Temperament: Typical mini pony, she can be moody. She can bite and kick, but if you get used to her body language she does give warning. We are working on this and she is getting better but we can not approve her as a child safe pony unless you are able to agree to get training for her or are able to continue to work with her. She is extremely strong for her size.

Braya needs a well fenced in area for turnout with little space between boards as she will push through them to get to where she wants to go. We have not tried her with electric but that may be a good option for her as well. She needs higher stall walls as she can and will jump. She has no issues around bigger horses, they know she’s the true boss. Braya has previously been ridden and participated in parades ( we have been told)

Braya is your typical little pony, she can be full of sugar and she can be full of spice. She is our little pony with big horse attitude! but she’s guaranteed to make you laugh (or cry) with her antics.

Braya is up to date with her vaccinations and farrier. Once she foals she will be up to date on deworming and will need her teeth done.

Braya and her foal’s adoption fee is 1500.00
